Mass Production of Useful Recombinant Proteins Using Genome-Edited Transgenic Chicken Egg Bioreactor

Recombinant protein expression service with “All Japan” production technologies using genome-edited transgenic chicken

ChickWe offer contract manufacturing service for mass production of useful recombinant proteins using chicken egg bioreactor. Technology allows to stably produce large amount of useful recombinant proteins of your interest in egg whites of genome-edited transgenic chicken eggs, which results to extreme cost reduction of the production.

* This manufacturing service is performed under licenses from National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and ERS Genomics Limited.

Service flow

1. Introduce gene of your interest into primordial germ cells (PGSs) using novel genome-editing & transgenic technology (CRISPR-Cas9 1)).

Knock-in the target gene to PGCs with CRISPR/Cas 3 and back the PGCs to chicken embryo [3-4 Months]

2. Breed genome-edited rooster (G0) with wild-type hen.

Breed Gene modified Rooster (G0) with Wild Type Hen [8-9 Months]

3. Protein of your interest to be expressed in Hen (G1) egg white, followed by the egg white separation process. We will satisfy each client needs for deliverable.

* Rooster (G1) carrying gene of your interest will be bred to keep the strain, to stably provide you with the protein of interest.

Knock-in Hen(G1) produce the expressed protein in egg white [5-6 Months]

Example case studies 1)

  • Human cytokines (in-house development)
  • Humanized antibodies
  • Industrial use protein
    etc.
