背景

8-イソプロスタンは、活性酸素による組織リン脂質のランダムな酸化によって合成される、非酵素由来エイコサノイドの一種です。酸化ストレスを受けたラットモデルにおいて、8-イソプロスタンは酸化損傷の優れた指標であることが報告されています^（1，2）。また重度の高血圧患者では、血漿中の8-イソプロスタン濃度の上昇が報告されています^（3）。8-イソプロスタンELISAを用いた最近の報告では、高脂肪食餌誘発性の非アルコール性脂肪性肝疾患（NAFLD）のラットの肝臓における8-イソプロスタン濃度上昇が確認されました。興味深いことに、アンジオテンシンII 受容体拮抗薬（降圧薬）であるテルミサルタンによって、肝臓における8-イソプロスタン濃度が有意に抑制されます^（4）。
