背景

オステオポンチンとは？

オステオポンチン（Osteopontin、OPN）は分泌型リンタンパク質1（SPP1）や骨シアロタンパク質1（BSP-1）、早期Tリンパ球活性化1（ETA-1）とも呼ばれ、骨中（破骨細胞、骨芽細胞）やその他の石化組織中でよく発現し、様々な細胞種（マクロファージ、活性Tリンパ球、内皮細胞、平滑筋細胞、外皮細胞、腎臓）によって生合成される、グリコリンタンパク質です[1]。分泌型OPNは血液、乳、尿、髄液、滑液、精液など多くの生体液中で確認されます[2]。オステオポンチンは、バイオミネラリゼーション、組織リモデリング、炎症、糖尿病、腫瘍化など多くの生理的・病理的プロセスにおいて重要な役割を担います。
