Leupeptin(ロイペプチン）は、カルパイン、ブタカリクレイン、トリプシン、プラスミン、パパイン、カテプシンBなどのセリンおよびシステインプロテイナーゼの競合的かつ可逆的阻害剤です。キモトリプシンおよびトロンビンは阻害しません。活性化によって誘導されるプログラム細胞死や、HIV +ドナーの不完全な免疫応答の回復を阻害することも知られています。
