背景

BRAF - プロテインキナーゼ

BRAFは、セリン/スレオニンプロテインキナーゼのraf/milファミリーに属します。細胞分裂、分化、分泌に影響を与えるMAPキナーゼ/ERKsシグナリングを調節しています。BRAFの変異は、心臓・顔・皮膚症候群（cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome；心臓欠陥、精神遅滞、特有の顔の外観などの症状がある）に関連があります。加えて、BRAFの変異は、非ホジキンリンパ腫、結腸直腸癌、悪性黒色腫、甲状腺癌、非小細胞肺癌、肺腺癌などの各種癌にも関連しています。
