リピドミクスの25周年が近づく中で、本稿では脂質研究が長年にわたりどのように成熟してきたのかを検討すると同時に、この多様な、生命にとってきわめて重要な生体分子を研究するわれわれの能力を高めている、新たな技術革新に注目する。とくに、ELIXIR Core Data ResourceであるLIPID MAPSを通して自由に利用できる、実績ある研究者にも若手研究者にも有益なコミュニティ主導のオープンアクセスデータベース、ソフトウェアおよび教材を紹介する。
